I'll always have a special place in my heart for Kent, and not just because it's known as the Garden of England. I was born here in a little town called Deal. It is also home to some of the most beautiful wedding venues in the country!
If you are planning a wedding in Kent, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to venues. From rustic barns and historic castles to elegant country homes and charming village halls, there is something for every couple. Over the years that I've been photographing weddings I have had the pleasure to shoot at some awesome venues - here's a few that I absolutely love:
It's just so dang cool.
Like, who gets to have a fairground at their wedding? You do, if you book your wedding here.
It's also easy to get to, accommodating for large weddings, and there's heck loads of places for shade during a hot wedding. Not to mention there is ample places to steal time for your couple shoot and the sun sets in a really idyllic position.
Check out the last wedding I did there here, and keep your eyes peeled as I have weddings booked there for 2024/25.
The locations, the organisation, the food - these guys continually smash out amazing weddings all year round.
I'm also really thankful to Kylie there for her friendship of over 5 years back now - they have always championed me, enough to even have me on their recommended suppliers list for 4 years running now.
TOKB host lots of weddings, but this isn't at the exception of world-class quality. You can rest assured that you will be treated like royalty if you have your wedding here.
Check out the most recent wedding I shot there here - and again, keep your eyes peeled as I'm shooting there again in 2024, twice and counting!
Contrary to what you might think, Winters Barns don't just do winter weddings - but they always do beautiful ones.
The thing I love about Winter's Barns is that there are sectioned off areas that are super helpful but also close to each other - you have the outside courtyard with a cute bridge in the middle, with reception area at one wing, a bar next to it, and then ceremony/dancefloor space next to that. It's worth checking out for sure!
The difference between TOKB & Winters Barn all has to do with the different feel between both venues - I think that if you click with the people running it, you will have lots of peace for your wedding, and both have lovely people working there!
Here's the last wedding I shot there.
Another beautiful venue, yet this one is closest to the sea and that makes me happy!
Reach Court Farm is a hidden gem in the Kent countryside, a rustic wedding venue with a big heart. It's set against the backdrop of rolling fields, cute trees, and a charming field with horses. I loved introducing Rosie & Alfie to the horses on their wedding, it was so cute.
The venue offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces for your ceremony and reception yet the marquee-lined barn is more popular for the reception. While the gardens are perfect for the evening or the ceremony, it is in my opinion a venue that shines in the warmer months.
Here are some other venues that I have my eye on but yet to capture there, so if you're planning your wedding there, give me a shout.
