Now and then I have couples approach me and the conversation goes like this:
Client: "We would LOVE to have you be our wedding photographer!
Me: "GREAT! Where and when is your wedding?"
Client: "Oh, we haven't actually decided yet."
There's absolutely nothing wrong with this! I can only book you in my diary if I have a date though, so once that is sorted - come chat to me.

So for the time being, you're venue searching.
It's pretty fun.
If the venue is good, they treat you like royalty.
And with a venue, it’s all about the warm welcome. Do you feel at home when you’re there? Or do you feel out of place?
Things like capacity, finishing times, cost of caterer, decor, are all things to consider.
(venue: Manor Barn)
But for me the most important thing is if you feel comfortable there.
It might look super Instagrammable but if you feel like you're walking in somebody else's shoes don't pick it!
(venue: The Old Kent Barn)
Also, something to ask your venue is do they require your photographer to pay for food and drink? Usually venues are super keen to look after their suppliers however I have had an incident where the venue required to me pay for my drinks!
It's a small thing, but it reinforces the point that you want everybody to feel at home at your wedding venue.
Also, PSA, I’m now taking bookings for 2024 - all the information that you need gets sent to you in a posh pricing brochure when you fill in my contact form on my website, just remember to always check your junk/spam because that can happen sometimes.
Enjoy searching for your wedding venue, be it in Kent or Cambridge!
