It’s pretty rare that I meet anybody in Cambridge that knows anything about my home town of Deal, so I was pretty surprised that Sam, the groom, used to live just down the road in neighbouring village Sandwich!
I feel like I have wanted this wedding to come around for a long time, as Amy & Sam got in touch with me in 2021 so soon after they got engaged. I even suggested them some wedding venues to look at and I was over the moon when they chose Manor Barn.
This was the first time I had ever travelled to a wedding venue by bus, but on this occasion it was with the bride and her bridal party: it was so fun! I even matched my broken wrist with the bus driver’s assistant! Family from all over the UK and even USA & Australia met us on arrival and Sam & Amy became husband and wife just before the rain came.
Thankfully the rain went as quick as it came and everybody celebrated under the sun with their cocktails.
We had a few different places to explore for couple time, and Amy & Sam were able to treasure that time just the two of them (+ the odd goat here and there).
The party kicked off well into the evening and I felt like part of the family by the time I left.
Amy & Sam, you are both super lovely and I’m so thankful I got to play a part in your wild wedding day.
Big love all round, Tom Keenan Photography
